Fleetwood is changing fast. The Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension will bring three new stations to the area — 152 Street, Fleetwood (160 Street), and Bakerview-166 Street — making this one of the best transit-connected neighbourhoods in Surrey. The area around Fleetwood Town Centre (Fraser Highway and 160th Street) is the commercial heart of the neighbourhood. You will find grocery stores, restaurants, and small businesses here. The extension has an anticipated in-service date of 2029. Until then, bus routes along Fraser Highway (route 502 R5 RapidBus) connect to King George SkyTrain Station in about 20 minutes. Highway 1 is a 5-minute drive north, connecting to Vancouver (35-45 minutes) or Langley (15 minutes).

Construction on the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain is now visible above ground at the Fleetwood and Green Timbers stations. As of May 2026, all eight stations on the 16-kilometre Fraser Highway extension are under construction and about 75 percent of the guideway column work is complete. The line runs along Fraser Highway from King George Station to 203 Street in Langley City Centre and is expected to open in late 2029.
