The extension has an anticipated in-service date of 2029. Until then, bus routes along Fraser Highway (route 502 R5 RapidBus) connect to King George SkyTrain Station in about 20 minutes. Highway 1 is a 5-minute drive north, connecting to Vancouver (35-45 minutes) or Langley (15 minutes).

Construction on the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain is now visible above ground at the Fleetwood and Green Timbers stations. As of May 2026, all eight stations on the 16-kilometre Fraser Highway extension are under construction and more than 30 percent of the elevated guideway is built.
